A leading commercial real estate developer and general contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support a $80M Mixed-Use Development project in North Jersey. This role will lead project management, field operations, ensuring schedule, quality, and safety performance, while managing subcontractors and coordinating with key project stakeholders.

Description

Construction Execution & Field Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations for a large-scale multifamily project from sitework through turnover
  • Coordinate and supervise all onsite subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification
  • Drive 3-week lookahead schedules, daily logs, and manpower tracking
  • Ensure sequencing and coordination across trades, including structure, façade/envelope, MEPs, and finishes

Schedule & Production Management

  • Maintain and enforce the project schedule (36-month duration) in coordination with Project Management
  • Identify and proactively mitigate schedule risks or delays
  • Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and internal field huddles

Quality Control

  • Enforce company quality standards across all phases of construction
  • Coordinate inspections, punchlists, and turnover procedures
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and local building codes

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture on site
  • Enforce OSHA standards and company safety protocols
  • Participate in safety meetings, audits, and reporting

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and ownership teams
  • Interface with local municipalities, inspectors, and third-party consultants
  • Support owner/client walkthroughs and progress reporting

Profile

Required

  • 8+ years of construction experience, with at least 5+ years as a Project Manager on ground-up commercial, industrial, or muiltifamily projects for a Developer or GC
  • Experience with YARDI strongly
  • Strong knowledge of full building lifecycle including sitework, structure, building envelope, and interiors
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Experience with tenet vs landlord contracts
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously on ground up and TI projects (up to $10-20M+)
  • North Jersey / NYC market experience
  • OSHA 30 certification

Job Offer
