PGS Worldwide is seeking a Construction Project Manager Facilities in York, PA for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role manages the full lifecycle of facility construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects to support manufacturing, engineering, and office environments. You will drive safe execution, schedule/budget adherence, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination while minimizing disruption to mission-critical operations.

Required Skills

  • 10 15 years of experience managing commercial construction and/or facility infrastructure projects

  • Experience managing projects from planning and design through construction completion and closeout

  • Strong understanding of commercial and industrial construction practices

  • Experience managing facility infrastructure projects (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and renovations/buildouts (manufacturing or laboratory environments)

  • Ability to develop project scope, schedule, budget, and execution strategy and manage full project lifecycle (planning, design, procurement, construction, closeout)

  • Experience coordinating with internal stakeholders (Facilities, Engineering, Manufacturing/Operations, Safety/Health/Environmental, Security, IT)

  • Experience leading design reviews and coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants

  • Experience managing procurement processes (RFPs, bid evaluations, contractor selection, contract administration)

  • Experience monitoring construction progress, quality, and contractor performance (change orders, RFIs, inspections)

  • Experience ensuring compliance with company safety programs, OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and applicable building codes

  • Ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies impacting schedule, cost, and operations

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documents

  • Strong communication skills with ability to lead meetings and provide clear status, risk, budget, and schedule updates to stakeholders and leadership

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or highly regulated environments

  • Project management/construction tools: Microsoft Project, Procore (or similar), Primavera, Bluebeam, AutoCAD or BIM tools

  • Certifications: PMP, OSHA 30, PE, or CCM

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field

What You'll Do

  • Manage facility construction and renovation projects end-to-end, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout

  • Build scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies aligned to operational priorities

  • Coordinate requirements across Facilities Engineering & Maintenance, Operations, IT, SHE, Security, and external design/construction partners

  • Facilitate permitting and regulatory approvals with applicable agencies as required

  • Manage capital improvement projects (expansions, infrastructure upgrades, lab/manufacturing buildouts, renovations) and track forecasts and financial performance

  • Implement cost controls and change management to maintain fiscal discipline

  • Lead design reviews and ensure alignment with company standards, safety requirements, and operational needs

  • Conduct site visits/inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and workmanship quality

  • Ensure contractor compliance with safety and security protocols and manage project risks proactively

  • Manage project closeout (punch lists, final inspections, documentation turnover, warranties, maintenance plans) and transition to operations/maintenance teams

  • Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement of project delivery processes
