Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Job Description
This role leads major, multifaceted commercial and industrial construction projects from conception through completion, providing comprehensive administrative and technical leadership. The Construction Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and partners, ensuring that every project phase meets high standards of quality, safety, schedule, and budget performance. The position is based near Hamlet, NC and requires a strong willingness to travel extensively to long-term project sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction to ensure strict compliance with project design, budget, and schedule while coordinating closely with clients, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Establish clear project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in alignment with corporate guidelines and client expectations.
- Provide strong team leadership by directing and supervising project personnel and monitoring day-to-day activities through the on-site Superintendent.
- Identify, address, and resolve critical project issues in a timely manner to maintain progress and mitigate risk.
- Manage project administration by reviewing and approving purchase requisitions and change requests in accordance with budget and contractual requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project logs, documentation, and financial records to support reporting, compliance, and decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to company, client, and project-specific policies, standards, and procedures across all project activities.
- Monitor and support compliance with safety programs, documenting corrective measures and promoting a strong safety culture on site.
- Coordinate and secure necessary materials, equipment, inspections, and resources to support and maintain the project schedule.
- Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, clients, vendors, and project partners, to ensure alignment and address concerns.
- Collaborate with construction executives by providing informed recommendations and decisions that impact project profitability and overall performance.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize processes, improve project outcomes, and implement innovative technologies or methodologies in construction management.
- Oversee project controls and coordination activities to ensure effective planning, tracking, and reporting of project progress.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of commercial or industrial construction experience, including exposure to design, finance, and management responsibilities.
- Proven experience managing large-scale and complex data center projects with budgets of $50M or more.
- Proven experience managing projects with budgets of $100M or more in sectors such as general construction, electrical construction, manufacturing construction, technology, or infrastructure including transportation, utilities, communication, buildings, or energy.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional training and experience.
- Strong construction project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to provide administrative and technical leadership on major construction projects.
- Experience in project control and project coordination for complex, multi-stakeholder construction initiatives.
- Ability to serve as the primary point of contact for clients and partners, with strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in overseeing and enforcing safety programs and documenting corrective actions.
- Capability to make decisions and recommendations that directly impact project profitability while reporting to construction executives.
- Valid driver's license in the United States.
- Valid passport with the willingness and ability to travel approximately 70% or more of the time.

- Comfort working on long-term assignments at remote project sites while maintaining consistent communication with executives and stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and implement innovative construction technologies or methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain detailed documentation, logs, and financial records for complex projects.
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills, including presenting updates and recommendations to senior leadership and clients.
Work Environment
This role is primarily based on a long-term construction project near Hamlet, NC, with extensive travel to project sites estimated at 70% or more. The work environment centers on large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects, including data centers and infrastructure-related facilities. The Construction Project Manager operates in a dynamic field setting, coordinating closely with on-site Superintendents, subcontractors, and engineering teams while also interacting frequently with clients and executives. Work involves both on-site presence in active construction environments and office-based project administration tasks such as documentation, budgeting, and coordination. The position requires flexibility to be on long-term assignments at client project locations and to adapt to varying site conditions and schedules while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and project performance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
