Uprite Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our growing Self Storage construction portfolio throughout Southern California. This individual will play a key role in managing projects from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, trade partners, and internal teams.
This role is based out of our Irvine headquarters and will oversee projects across the Southern California region.
Manage ground up and tenant improvement Self Storage projects from award through final completion
Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and overall project execution
Maintain project schedules and proactively identify risks, delays, and cost impacts
Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure field operations align with project goals, safety standards, and quality expectations
Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contracts
Lead owner meetings and provide consistent communication regarding project progress, financial status, and milestones
Manage project financials including buyout, forecasting, cost reporting, billing, and change management
Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations
Support business development efforts by building and maintaining relationships within the Southern California Self Storage market
Mentor and support Project Engineers and other team members as needed
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction
Experience managing Self Storage, or similar commercial projects
Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast paced environments
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and project scheduling software
Strong communication, leadership, and relationship management skills
Ability to travel to project sites throughout Southern California as needed
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
