Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Location: 603 Science Dr., Madison, WI 53719
Schedule: 100% onsite - 6am Start Time
Contract: 9 months (Possible Extension)
Pay Range: $55-60/hr

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced, highly organized Construction Project Manager to lead a multi-phase project from initiation through closeout. This role is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, managing subcontractors, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with rigorous quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Define project scope, deliverables, and specifications; prepare construction estimates; and manage budgets.
  • Scheduling & Logistics: Develop detailed construction schedules with milestones and coordinate the movement of resources, materials, and heavy equipment.
  • Contract Management: Prepare bids, negotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontractors, and manage change orders.
  • Compliance & Permitting: Secure and issue required permits and ensure all work complies with local, state, 29 CFR 1926 OHSA regulations and national building codes as well as environmental regulations.
  • Safety & Quality Control: Enforce safety procedures, conduct safety inspections, maintain OSHA standards across contractors, and oversee quality assurance and quality control programs.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience: 3 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
  • Skills: Excellent communicator, financial analysis, and time-management skills, along with proficiency in construction management software.
