The Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of Class A office interior projects, from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires strong NYC commercial construction experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in an occupied urban environment.Client DetailsOur client is a boutique New York City commercial general contractor specializing in high‑end Class A office interior build-outs. Our firm is known for hands‑on leadership, close client relationships, and the successful delivery of sophisticated, fast‑paced interior projects across Manhattan.DescriptionProject Planning & ExecutionManage all phases of interior construction projects, including preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, and closeoutDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plansOversee subcontractor buyouts, scopes of work, contract execution, and change managementEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standardsFinancial ManagementCreate and track project budgets, cost reports, and forecastsReview subcontractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and approvalManage change orders, client billing, and monthly requisitionsMonitor cost impacts and proactively resolve budget risksClient & Team CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact for owners, tenants, architects, engineers, and consultantsLead project meetings and provide clear, timely reporting to stakeholdersCoordinate with Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with project plansFoster a collaborative, solutions‑oriented project environmentQuality, Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with NYC Building Codes, DOB requirements, Local Laws, and union regulationsMaintain Class A corporate quality standards and detailed finish expectationsEnforce jobsite safety policies and coordinate with safety consultants as requiredProject CloseoutOversee punchlist completion, inspections, and sign‑offsManage closeout documentation, warranties, as‑builts, and turnover packagesSupport client move‑in and post‑occupancy needs as required MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
