The Construction Project Manager will oversee multiple high-end residential interior renovation projects from preconstruction through final turnover. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships while maintaining the exceptional level of quality expected on luxury residential projects.

Our client is a highly respected General Contractor specializing in luxury interior renovations throughout New York City. They partner with discerning homeowners, architects, and designers to deliver exceptional gut renovations of townhomes, brownstones, penthouses, and luxury condominiums for high-net-worth individuals. With a reputation built on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and outstanding client service, they have established themselves as one of the premier builders in NYC's high-end residential market. Due to continued growth and a strong backlog of work, they are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team.

Description

  • Manage multiple luxury residential renovation projects simultaneously
  • Oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, and consultants
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Monitor project costs and ensure profitability targets are achieved
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits and coordinate with Superintendents
  • Lead client meetings and provide regular project updates
  • Resolve construction challenges while maintaining schedule and quality
  • Ensure projects meet company quality standards and client expectations
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting
  • Support project turnover, punch list completion, and final closeout

Profile

A successful Construction Project Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
  • Proven experience managing high-end residential interior gut renovations
  • Experience with townhomes, brownstones, penthouses, luxury apartments, or single-family residences
  • Strong understanding of luxury finishes, millwork, custom detailing, and interior construction
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various phases simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Experience coordinating architects, interior designers, and specialty subcontractors
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, and cost control abilities
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
  • Local knowledge of NYC construction practices and logistics is highly preferred
