Description
- Manage all phases of retail construction projects from preconstruction through close‑out
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, designers, consultants, and landlords
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Lead subcontractor buyout, coordination, and ongoing performance management
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy and constructability
- Coordinate with NYC DOB, expediters, and inspectors to ensure compliance with codes and permits
- Oversee site logistics, sequencing, and safety in occupied and high‑traffic retail environments
- Track costs, change orders, and project financials to ensure profitability
- Maintain a high level of quality control consistent with luxury brand standards
- Prepare and lead client meetings, progress reports, and close‑out documentation

Profile
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Demonstrated experience managing retail construction projects in NYC
- Strong knowledge of interior build‑outs, storefronts, millwork, and MEP coordination
- Working knowledge of NYC building codes, DOB processes, and union environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high‑end or luxury retail brands (fashion, jewelry, hospitality, flagship spaces)
- Experience working with high‑profile designers and architects
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
