Internal Notice for Teamster Team Members: This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill 1vacancy OR vacancies for this classification. The internal Teamster eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification, for up to one hundred and eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the internal Teamster eligibility list. All other team members including part-time/temporary employees along with external candidates may apply for this recruitment. These individuals may be considered after the appropriate recruitment process of the collective bargaining agreement has been followed. If the vacancy is not filled through promotion by a full-time non-probationary Teamster team members, the next opportunity for placement will be to hire qualified part-time/temporary employees and external candidates.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay Considerations -The salary range for the position is $83,648.24 - $119,500.68. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience but will not exceed the midpoint of the range. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining agreement.
- Work Schedule - This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, (36-hour work week) Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
THE ROLE
Under general direction, manages and oversees public works and construction projects from design through completion, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and construction oversight. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, safety standards, and contract requirements while coordinating with contractors, consultants, regulatory agencies, and internal departments. Reviews project documentation, monitors construction progress and budgets, and provides technical guidance a, prepares reports, and supports management in timely delivery of projects. May receive project-specific technical guidance from a Senior Construction Project Manager, while independently managing assigned projects and performing related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a closely related field; and
- Two (2) years of progressively complex construction management experience in public infrastructure, or facility construction projects with demonstrated responsibility for project coordination, oversight of day-to-day operations, and project delivery across multiple functions.
- Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education, training and/or increasingly responsible construction project management experience with demonstrated project coordination, daily oversight, and project delivery across multiple functions may be considered. The City assesses one (1) year of related work experience to be equal to one (1) year of formal education.
- Experience managing high-value capital improvement projects, overseeing consultants or inspection teams is highly desirable.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nevada state driver's license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Must possess and maintain an OSHA 30-Hour card within fifteen (15) calendar days of hire.
- Possession of a State of Nevada Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management professional (PMP), Qualified Stormwater Manager (QSM/QSD), or ICC/Inspector certifications are desirable.
SELECTION PROCESS

- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
- Personnel File Review - Pass/Fail, Minimum passing score is 75%- All current employees seeking internal positions will undergo a personnel file review. The personnel file review includes a current employment status check (probationary/qualifying periods), and a review of active discipline and most recent performance evaluation. Employees with a rating that does not meet minimum standards may be disqualified from this recruitment process.
- Oral Board Interview (Weighted 100%, Passing Score 70%):
- Pre-Employment Screening - For non-police positions only: Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history check via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
- Selection/Offers -
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
The selection process may include any combination of written, performance, and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal, ethical, and professional standards.
