    Congress Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial construction projects throughout New England. The Project Manager is responsible for leading the project team through the complete construction process with a focus on schedule, cost control, quality, and client satisfaction.

    This position plans, organizes, and controls the resources required for successful project execution and serves as a key point of communication among clients, subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and company leadership.


    Key Responsibilities

    Project Management:

    •  Lead project teams through all phases of construction and maintain effective project planning, management, and cost control

    • May manage multiple projects concurrently as project size and timing require

    •  Create, maintain, and manage master project schedules

    •  Monitor project financial, administrative, personnel, procurement, and office functions

    •  Advise management of issues that may affect project margin, cost, schedule, or client relationships

    •  Review and approve subcontractor change estimates and administer contracts in accordance with their terms and company procedures

    •  Manage and assemble monthly Owner and Subcontractor AIA requisitions

    •  Identify, evaluate, and proactively manage project risks

    •  Review and approve construction operation plans and maintain working knowledge of General Contract and Subcontract terms and conditions

    •  Determine project staffing requirements in consultation with management and provide support, guidance, and professional development to project personnel

    •  Establish and maintain clear communication to ensure accurate and timely flow of project information

    •  Prepare executive status reports and participate in meetings addressing construction progress, costs, billings, forecasts, and significant project issues

    •  Ensure job status reports are reviewed with the project team prior to issuance

    •  Lead project closeout and prepare project completion reports, including subcontractor evaluations

    •  Assist with conceptual and early estimating, budgeting, and pricing as required

    •  Participate in business development activities and foster productive, long-term client relationships


    What You’ll Bring

    Required:

    •  7-10 years of commercial construction management experience, including projects generally ranging from $7 million to $70 million

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    •  Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, trade coordination, engineering, cost control, scheduling, and safety

    •  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents, contracts, technical procedures, and applicable regulations

    •  Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

    •  Ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve results in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment with minimal direction

    •  Strong understanding of project costs and accountability for financial performance

    •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management, scheduling, and job-cost software

    •  Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and reliable transportation

    •  Flexibility to travel as required based on project needs

    Preferred:

    •  Experience using Procore Construction Management Software

    •  Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM, or similar construction technology platforms
