NPC&M is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. This full-time, remote role focuses on estimating commercial construction renovation projects. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the management of the construction schedule, budget, quality, safety and relationships of a construction project in partnership with the Superintendent. This position is responsible for planning and coordination of all aspects of the construction process to effectively manage the risk at hand. This includes managing subcontractors, contract negotiations, client expectations, dispute resolution, material procurement and schedule production. In this role you may be required to travel up to 60% of the time. The position allows for the individual to work remote.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial renovation projects.
Review and analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
Solicit, evaluate, and level set subcontractor and vendor bids.
Collaborate with project managers and leadership on bid strategy and project feasibility.
Develop and maintain cost databases, unit price libraries, and historical bid data.
Identify and communicate project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives.
Coordinate with clients, architects, and engineers during the pre-construction phase.
Track and report on bid outcomes and win/loss ratios to support business development.
Support multiple concurrent bids with varying complexity and deadlines.
Attend planning meetings and project status meetings.
Develop and maintain the project plan by producing summary status reports, issuing monthly projections, change orders, change proposals/pricing for both the owner and the subcontractor(s), creating/monitoring pay applications and cash flow in an effort to manage the budget.
All project related administration, correspondence, letters etc.
Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate future sales opportunities.
Maintain a complete understanding of job contract and contract documents.
Maintain the Job Cost Report, ledgers, and budget.
The oversight of superintendent's and participate in delivering training for other project and some field staff.
Management all submittal approvals, RFI's, RFP's, SWA's, EWO's, PCO's, Material Procurement.
Coordinate delivery of material and supplies to job sites.
Initiate, organize, and attend project meetings with appropriate members of the project team and ensure that meeting agendas and meeting minutes are produced and distributed to attendees and other necessary parties.
Attend owner and project meetings, maintain continuous client contact to gauge performance perceptions and communicate relevant information to Project Team.
Participate in the cultivation of strong relationship with current and potential clients.
Ensures all contract files are set up properly, contract reporting is timely and accurate and no contract activity goes unbilled.
Implement and ensure that the project closeout process is done on each job, which includes an electronic file with all necessary documentation included and in an organized and standardized fashion.
Keeps abreast of competition, area growth trends, market studies and other circumstances of possible impact on regional operations. Keeps abreast of legislative development and government actions affecting the Company.
Assist with regular owner-architect-contractor meetings in order to monitor and assess the status of construction projects and facilitate proper planning.

Excellent communication skills a must
10+ years of experience specifically in commercial construction
Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)
Experience in commercial construction and on-site experience in the management of new construction and the renovation of existing assets required
Detailed knowledge of the construction process, estimating, budgeting, accounting and procurement in order to manage a construction project required
Computer skills including MS Office and scheduling software such as Project, P6, Plan Grid, Revit, VICO or equivalent required
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) (preferred)
Valid Driver's License required
Current OSHA training a must
Annual salary range: $90,000 – $130,000, commensurate with experience.
Participation in annual bonus program.
