This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role for a Construction Project Manager with a strong background in commercial or light commercial construction. As our Project Manager, you will oversee multiple active job sites, coordinate crews and subcontractors, manage schedules and budgets, and serve as a trusted point of contact for clients throughout the construction process.
This is not a desk-bound PM role. You will be active in the field, making decisions, solving problems, maintaining accountability, and ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on-site project execution from planning through completion
- Supervise crews, subcontractors, and vendors across multiple active job sites
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, materials, and change orders
- Manage commercial and light commercial construction projects with a strong focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction
- Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and client walkthroughs
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, site plans, and applicable codes
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Monitor job progress, safety practices, material usage, and project milestones
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, updates, and project documentation
- Identify and resolve on-site issues before they impact schedule, budget, or quality
- Represent Toledo Pole Barns professionally with clients and project stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction experience, ideally as a Project Manager, Foreman, Superintendent, or Site Supervisor
- Background in commercial or light commercial construction strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, jobsite coordination, codes, safety standards, and budgeting
- Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, materials, and client expectations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and site plans
- Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction management software preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and time management skills
- Confident problem-solver who takes ownership and keeps projects moving
- OSHA 30 certification desirable but not essential
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physically able to navigate active job sites, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varied weather conditions
