Job Summary

The Project Manager – Construction is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and executing construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

You will collaborate with owners, developers, subcontractors, architects, and internal teams to drive successful outcomes across all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead construction project management from pre-construction through closeout
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines
  • Coordinate all phases of commercial, multifamily, and hotel construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements

Vendor & Subcontractor Management

  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and scopes of work
  • Issue and track purchase orders and contracts
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and trade partners

Financial Oversight

  • Prepare and manage project estimates and budgets
  • Track project costs, forecasts, and change orders
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies

Site & Quality Management

  • Conduct job site visits to monitor quality, productivity, and safety
  • Ensure adherence to construction schedules and milestones
  • Coordinate punch lists and project closeout activities

Compliance & Reporting

  • Research and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
  • Obtain permits and Certificates of Occupancy
  • Prepare project status reports for internal leadership and stakeholders

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead meetings with owners, investors, and project teams
  • Promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment
  • Step into on-site leadership (Superintendent role) when needed

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in construction project management, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and construction software
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and cost controls
  • Ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience in commercial, hospitality, or multifamily construction strongly preferred
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • First Aid / CPR / AED certification preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to travel to project sites across the U.S.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Flexibility to support project demands outside standard business hours

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role operates in both office and active construction site environments. Responsibilities include:

  • Traveling to and inspecting job sites
  • Navigating active construction zones
  • Climbing ladders or scaffolding as needed
  • Lifting/moving materials and working in confined spaces

TOTAL REWARDS

This full-time, exempt position offers a salary range of $105,000 – $130,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

This role is also eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to project results and overall performance.
