Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Project & Facilities Management
Manage a diverse portfolio of UF/IFAS construction, renovation, capital‑improvement, and utility‑infrastructure projects across the state.
Identify and prioritize projects related to deferred maintenance, facility upgrades, and infrastructure needs.
Develop project scopes and negotiate contracts with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Coordinate closely with user groups to ensure project requirements, timelines, and expectations are met.
Oversee construction activities from planning through warranty and close‑out, ensuring full compliance with funding regulations and UF procedures.
Provide technical expertise and leadership to other IFAS/FPO project managers.
Travel to UF/IFAS locations statewide, including occasional overnight trips using a state vehicle.
Facilities Analysis & Strategic Improvements
Assess existing facilities and infrastructure to develop solutions that reduce deferred‑maintenance backlogs with minimal supervision.
Research, analyze, and interpret data for special projects, communicating findings to construction and maintenance teams.
Recommend updates to policies, procedures, and best practices to improve operational efficiency and project delivery.
Collaboration on Major UF Projects
Partner with UF Planning, Design & Construction on major IFAS projects to ensure alignment with IFAS goals and user needs.
Support project managers and stakeholders throughout planning, design, and construction phases.
Travel to project sites as needed to support coordination and ensure project objectives are met.
Expected Salary:
$75,000-$85,000; commensurate with education and experience
Required Qualifications:

Must maintain a valid Florida driver's license.
