Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a water/wastewater/storm water/civil construction project representative.
Responsibilities include:
• Conducting construction site observations to verify conformance with construction documents and other applicable standards • Documenting daily construction activities • Coordinating construction material testing • Assisting with shop drawing reviews and materials submittals • Coordinating construction and client meetings • Reviewing RFPs, RFIs, and change order requests • Communicating with the project manager and team on construction issues, design intent, and field conditions • Preparing, reviewing, and distributing weekly and other applicable reports and meeting minutes • Preparing and processing pay applications and change orders
Travel and a valid drivers license will be required.
The successful candidate will have the following:
At least two (2) applicable certifications A valid drivers license with the ability to pass Mead & Hunts Vehicle Safety Program criteria
• Bachelors degree in construction management or related field • Associate degree in construction management or related field plus two (2) years of relevant experience • No degree with at least four (4) years of relevant experience
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
• Municipal construction inspection experience, lift stations, pump stations, forced mains, and/or water/wastewater utilities • Certifications FDOT, AWWA, APWA, ACI, FDEP, NASSCO, or a construction contractor license • Water/wastewater and/or civil construction knowledge • Ability to work independently • Other construction trade knowledge, pipeline rehabilitation, electrical, mechanical, survey
