Please note our clients and projects are nationwide - Travel will be required.In this role, you will be responsible for managing project-specific safety and health issues to ensure the protection of Haskell employees, contract partner employees, client personnel, and the general public. You will also evaluate and coordinate project activities to comply with rules, regulations, and policies applicable to project safety.ResponsibilitiesParticipates in safety pre-planning and hazard analysis for a project with the project superintendentInitiates and monitors project drug screening proceduresConducts safety orientation and training process for all employees and contracts partners upon arrival on siteConducts all necessary safety training for an assigned projectParticipates in the enforcement of The Haskell Company Code of Safe Practice throughout the projectSupports project superintendent in safety efforts. Provides inspection and correction audits to the superintendent on a daily basis for their action with employees and contract partnersMaintains follow-up procedures for ensuring all items identified are corrected in a timely fashionShould hazard(s) classified as an imminent danger be identified, stop operations, and protect others from the hazard(s). Contacts project superintendent for immediate correctionVerifies training of those involved in the generation of the hazardCommunicates with the assigned Regional Safety Supervisor (RSS) on all project safety issues. Performs monthly Safety Evaluation Report (SER) with the assistance of the RSSParticipates in pre-construction and subcontractor meetings to discuss/review safety-related issues prior to commencement of their work and be aware of project particularsConducts weekly safety meetings with all project employeesEnforces safety rules per established disciplinary action guidelinesMaintains required employee training records and all project safety documentationAdministers all record keeping and reporting guidelines as required by regulatory agencies and company policiesConducts accident investigations and assists project superintendent in the prompt reporting of incidents/accidentsInspects and maintains safety equipmentIssues confined space and "hot work" permits as requiredAccompanies any (authorized outside entities) personnel on safety inspectionsPerforms additional assignments per supervisor's directionQualifications3-5 years of experience in the construction industryIndustrial Water experienceRecognized safety certification (STS, CSST, CSSS) through BCSP or NCCEREmployee should be able to have a thorough understanding of and the ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulationsThe ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measuresGood interpersonal and communication skills requiredAbility to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service, and TrustAt Haskell, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and more.
