Select Development Group, a well-established General Contractor based in Southwest Florida, seeks an experienced Field Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project objectives
  • Review project plans, proposals, and specifications
  • Develop detailed project schedules and milestones
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects from initiation to completion
Technical Oversight:
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes
  • Monitor construction progress and quality
  • Address any technical issues promptly
  • Evaluate contractor bids and proposals
  • Must be able to perform manual labor as needed according to job requirements or instructions without any exceptions
Budget and Cost Management:
  • Monitor expenses, track costs, and adjust as needed
  • Review change orders and cost estimates
Subcontractor Management:
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate project records
  • Prepare progress reports for stakeholders
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
  • Promote safety practices on-site
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations
  • Implement safety protocols
Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct inspections to verify workmanship and adherence to standards
  • Address any deficiencies promptly
  • Ensure project quality meets expectations
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Facilitate effective communication among project teams
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities
  • Resolve conflicts and maintain project flow
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High end residential and/or commercial experience required
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude
  • Outstanding communicator: able to synthesize complex information into simple, actionable insights and communicate technical building processes with construction and non-construction team members equally
  • Commitment to providing a positive experience for all project stakeholders, clients, design professionals, subcontractors, and team members
  • Strong personal integrity and the highest ethical standards
  • Able to function in a positive, friendly, high-energy, and collaborative environment
  • Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask, work well under pressure, and efficiently meet deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, preferably in project management or engineering roles
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and other pertinent laws and regulations (OSHA certification a plus)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Bluebeam Certification and Buildertrend Certification (30 Days) 
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Authorized to work in the United States
