About the Role:
Palm Build LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Construction Technician to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC! This hands-on role covers a wide range of trades — including drywall, painting, flooring, tile, and demolition — making every day dynamic and rewarding. Responsibilities:

• Perform interior demolition, tear-outs, damaged-material removal, and job-site preparation.
• Install, repair, patch, and finish drywall, including taping, mudding, sanding, and texture matching.
• Complete interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, priming, and application by brush, roller, or sprayer as appropriate.
• Install residential flooring systems, including LVP, laminate, vinyl, and related materials.
• Perform tile installation for floors, walls, backsplashes, showers, and other residential applications, including layout, cutting, grouting, caulking, and finishing.
• Complete general reconstruction, repairs, and related trade work as required.
• Read and follow scopes of work, measurements, plans, and project instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites while protecting customer property, furnishings, and finished surfaces.
• Identify site conditions, material requirements, or scope concerns and communicate them to the Project Manager.
• Document work through job-site photos and progress updates when required.
• Complete assigned work according to Palm Build standards, project specifications, and scheduled timelines.
• Follow OSHA, company, and job-site safety requirements.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of hands-on experience in construction, remodeling, restoration, or a related trade.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least two of the following:
  • Drywall installation and finishing
  • Painting
  • Demolition
  • Flooring installation
  • Tile installation
• Strong understanding of residential construction practices and job-site procedures.
• Ability to read measurements, follow written scopes and instructions, and perform basic material calculations.
• Ability to safely and effectively use common hand and power tools.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the Charlotte service area.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and field teams.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional appearance and conduct when working in customers’ homes.
• Restoration experience, IICRC training, or related certifications are a plus but not required.
