Location: Forest Park, GA -- Atlanta Metro Area

Full-Time | Contract / Project-Based | On-Site

Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Project Term: Minimum anticipated commitment of one year

Lead Safety Oversight on an Active Construction Project

Clean Vapor provides vapor intrusion mitigation solutions for new construction and existing buildings. We work alongside contractors, developers, engineers, environmental professionals, and project teams to install systems that help protect buildings and their occupants.

We are seeking a qualified Construction Safety Representative to provide full-time safety oversight for an active construction project in the Forest Park, Georgia area.

This is a dedicated, non-working safety position. The Safety Representative will not perform construction craft or production work and must remain on-site whenever the Clean Vapor workforce is active.

The right candidate will have an active construction safety certification, strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards, and experience overseeing high-risk activities on industrial, data center, or large commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a full-time, non-working safety presence on-site whenever the workforce is active
  • Monitor construction activities to support compliance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable safety regulations
  • Conduct and document multiple safety observations each week
  • Submit safety observations through the project's designated safety management platform
  • Participate in daily pre-task planning, morning safety huddles, and project coordination meetings
  • Review and support Activity Hazard Analyses for all assigned scopes of work
  • Monitor the implementation of controls for high-risk construction activities
  • Enforce fall protection requirements throughout the project
  • Support permit planning and coordination for hot work, confined spaces, lockout/tagout, crane operations, excavations, and other permit-required activities
  • Identify and immediately address unsafe acts or working conditions
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority when an unsafe condition or activity is identified
  • Participate in incident investigations and assist with the development of corrective actions
  • Attend weekly safety committee meetings
  • Participate in work-planning and high-risk activity forecasting meetings
  • Confirm that workers have completed all required orientation and onboarding before beginning work
  • Prepare and submit weekly toolbox talks and daily pre-task plans as required
  • Maintain current safety performance information, incident records, and related documentation
  • Conduct daily worker-readiness assessments during morning huddles
  • Support clear safety communication across a diverse and potentially multilingual workforce
  • Monitor compliance with project-specific personal protective equipment requirements
  • Promote a professional, respectful, and accountable safety culture throughout the project

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, or a related technical field
  • Active safety certification, such as:
  • Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STS-C)
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Comparable recognized safety credential
  • At least three years of construction supervision experience
  • Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 construction standards
  • Experience overseeing high-risk construction activities, including:
  • Confined-space work
  • Hot work
  • Crane and lifting operations
  • Energy isolation and lockout/tagout
  • Ability and willingness to maintain a full-time on-site presence whenever construction crews are working
  • Ability to identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action
  • Willingness to exercise Stop Work Authority when necessary
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate safety expectations respectfully and professionally
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with project managers, supervisors, craft workers, contractors, and client representatives
  • Willingness to comply with Clean Vapor's safety policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on data center, industrial, or large commercial construction projects
  • Familiarity with construction safety management and reporting platforms
  • Experience managing permits for excavation, hot work, confined-space entry, crane operations, or lockout/tagout activities
  • Experience reviewing Activity Hazard Analyses and high-risk work plans
  • Experience supporting multilingual construction teams
  • Additional construction safety certifications or specialized safety training

Safety Leadership Expectations

The Construction Safety Representative must lead by example and maintain a visible, proactive presence throughout the project.

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements

The Safety Representative will monitor compliance with all applicable project-specific personal protective equipment requirements, including, at minimum:

  • Helmet-style hard hats with chin straps
  • Safety glasses compliant with ANSI Z87.1
  • Gloves meeting at least ANSI cut level 5
  • Additional protective equipment required by the task, project, or job-site conditions

Work Environment

  • Full-time work performed on an active construction site
  • Required presence whenever the assigned workforce is active
  • Regular walking and standing throughout active work areas
  • Exposure to changing weather and construction-site conditions
  • Work around heavy equipment, lifting operations, excavations, hot work, and other high-risk activities
  • Participation in morning huddles, coordination meetings, inspections, and safety-planning activities
  • Potential schedule flexibility based on construction operations and project needs

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Credential Review and Project Approval

The selected candidate's name, experience, and safety credentials must be submitted for project approval before work begins.

Continued assignment is subject to project requirements, safety performance, and site conditions. Clean Vapor may remove or reassign the Safety Representative when project conditions require it.
