Job TitleJob Description Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of safety experience in construction or manufacturing. Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental, health and safety with 2+ years of EHS experience. Required Certifications: One or more are required to be considered for this role: CHST, CSP, GSP, COSS, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, or OSHA 30. Required Experience: Hands-on experience conducting field inspections and audits on active construction or industrial sites. Demonstrated experience issuing or supporting stop-work authority for unsafe conditions. Experience enforcing or contributing to a Site Safety Plan (SSP) on a large-scale project. Preferred Experience: Bilingual ability is a plus but not required. Prior experience in a manufacturing or battery/EV production environment. Experience working night or split shift schedules in a construction or industrial setting. Familiarity with Gensuite or similar EHS incident/observation reporting software. Skills: Experience with and understanding of OSHA Construction and/or General Industry regulations. Strong communication skills. Ability to work well in a collaborative environment. Ability to work effectively with contractors and production associates. Ability to effectively perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures. Effective planning and prioritization skills. Working knowledge of environmental compliance requirements.Job Summary: Represents LH Battery's EHS team by observing and ensuring EHS compliance in the field on a contract basis, with potential to convert to a full-time permanent position.Job Duties: Conduct field inspections and audits of LH Battery associates and contractors on-site. Sign safety permits as a representative of LH Safety (roof access, line break, hot work permits, etc.). Spend 75-80% of time in the field and 20-25% in meetings/computer work. Enter incident reports/observations in Gensuite software. Ensure LH Battery and contractors conduct appropriate safety meetings, JHAs, PTPs, toolbox talks; attend All-Hands and Weekly Safety meetings. Lead All-Hands Safety meetings. Ensure stop-work is issued when unsafe conditions are present. Ensure proper submission of paperwork to satisfy the Site Safety Plan (SSP). Ensure contractors perform root cause investigations and corrective action implementation per the SSP. Perform other duties as assigned.Additional Requirements: Up to 10% travel (domestic, with potential international).
