Position Details:
Position Type: Contract (4-6 week outage, with potential for additional assignments)
Job Location: Texas City, TX; per diem available
Schedule: 13/1 schedule, 12-hr days

Compensation: $60 - $85/hr depending on experience & qualifications

Position Summary:
The Construction Safety Superintendent is responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures at construction sites. This position will provide onsite safety leadership, conduct inspections, identify and address potential hazards, provide safety training, and ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and enforce site safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and identify potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Work with construction crews and subcontractors to promote safe work practices.
- Provide safety training and guidance to construction personnel.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain required safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, company requirements, and industry standards.
- Serve as an onsite safety resource and provide guidance to construction supervision and field personnel.
Qualifications:- 5-10 years' previous experience in construction safety management or a similar onsite safety leadership role.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent safety certification is a big plus
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong hazard recognition and incident investigation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with construction crews, subcontractors, and site leadership.
- Ability to work independently and provide safety leadership in an active construction environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field preferred, but not required.
REQUIRED PPE: HARD HAT, SAFETY GLASSES, STEEL TOE BOOTS, FRC CLOTHING
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work requires working from heights, climbing fixed ladders, and stairs, etc...
