The Opportunity
This role is a fit for a driven outside sales professional who wants to own a territory, control their income, and see their work become real projects on the ground. You will be the face of Settler Structures in Springfield, MO and surrounding areas, building a book of business in a high-demand segment of the construction market.
Instead of being one of many in a large corporate sales machine, you will have autonomy, direct access to leadership, and clear visibility into how your deals turn into exceptional builds for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage your own sales territory in Springfield, MO and surrounding areas (Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Branson, and nearby markets).
- Prospect, generate leads, and manage your full sales pipeline from initial contact through signed contract.
- Conduct in-person customer presentations and consultations to understand needs, review property specs, and propose tailored building solutions.
- Collaborate with estimating, production, and project teams to scope jobs accurately and set realistic expectations with clients.
- Stay involved throughout the sales cycle to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and referrals.
- Grow market share by capturing new business opportunities and deepening relationships in your territory.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 36 months, you are consistently building and managing a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across your territory.
- You reliably move prospects from first contact to signed agreements, meeting or exceeding agreed-upon quarterly sales targets.
- Customers rate their experience highly, with repeat work and referrals contributing to a growing share of your closed business.
- You become a trusted resource on our building solutions, working smoothly with internal teams and representing Settler Structures professionally in the market.
What We're Looking For
- Sales-driven, goal-oriented, and self-motivated personality with the discipline to manage your own territory and calendar.
- 2+ years of outside sales or account management experience; construction or building-related sales is a plus.
- Proven experience in lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust with clients, follow through on commitments, and stay organized using CRM tools (or willingness to learn).
- Comfort working non-traditional hours for customer consultations (evenings and occasional weekends) to win and retain business.
- Construction background or familiarity with building processes is helpful but not required for the right sales-focused candidate.
