Our GC client is a well established and highly reputable GC with over 50 years experience in the Atlanta market. All projects are over $40M in size so experience working on complex jobs of this size is required for the role.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and owners to establish project milestones and sequencing. Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance. Identify schedule delays, conflicts, and risks, and recommend recovery plans or mitigation strategies. Perform critical path analysis and evaluate the impact of changes on project completion dates. Prepare and distribute schedule reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules for project stakeholders. Support preconstruction and bid efforts by developing preliminary schedules and phasing plans. Analyze productivity trends and resource loading to optimize labor, equipment, and material utilization. Document schedule changes and maintain records for claims analysis, delay documentation, and change orders.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. 3+ years of scheduling experience in commercial construction. Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and construction reporting tools. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path methodology (CPM), and project controls. Experience analyzing schedule impacts, delays, and recovery plans. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to communicate schedule status and recommendations to project stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge of scheduling best practices, claims avoidance, and schedule risk management.
