Job Title: Construction Scheduler

Job Description

Actalent is seeking to hire a skilled Construction Scheduler who will develop and maintain CPM schedules for both preconstruction and active projects. The role involves integrating manpower loading, material procurement, submittals, prefabrication activities, and subcontractor schedules into master project schedules, ensuring the seamless progression of construction timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain CPM schedules for preconstruction and active projects.
  • Integrate manpower loading, material procurement, submittals, prefabrication activities, and subcontractor schedules into master project schedules.
  • Update schedules based on field progress and verify logic, durations, and sequencing accuracy.
  • Perform schedule QA/QC reviews and health checks to ensure logic integrity and constructability.
  • Track critical milestones and overall progress against baseline schedules.
  • Develop schedule recovery and mitigation plans when projects experience delays.
  • Support short‑term planning efforts, including detailed schedules and progress analysis.
  • Incorporate safety considerations and risk mitigation activities into project schedules.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers and Superintendents to confirm sequencing and status.
  • Participate in planning sessions, pull plans, and coordination meetings.
  • Translate complex scheduling data into clear, actionable insights for field teams and leadership.
  • Support project pursuits by developing conceptual and proposal schedules.
  • Assist estimating and preconstruction teams by identifying schedule risks and opportunities early.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of construction scheduling experience in commercial or industrial settings, with electrical experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Understanding of electrical construction sequencing, building systems, and construction documents.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Experience integrating subcontractor schedules and resource/manpower loading.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
