Senior Accountant (Temp-to-Hire)

Hybrid | Fast-Growing Construction / Manufacturing Company
$115K-$130K + Opportunity to Convert to Direct Hire

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead cost accounting & inventory management (labor, materials, overhead)
  • Partner with factory and project teams to analyze job costs and improve performance
  • Own key aspects of the month-end close (JEs, reconciliations, variance analysis)
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL)
  • Support project accounting and project administration
  • Prepare sales & use tax filings (multi-state)
  • Deliver financial reporting, margin analysis, and cost trends
  • Assist with audits and internal controls
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support strategic initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Construction/project accounting - required
  • Strong Excel skills (must-have)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Vista Viewpoint a plus; not required)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, operational environments
  • Someone who is:
    • Adaptable, coachable, and solutions-oriented
    • Comfortable jumping in and figuring things out
    • Collaborative with a positive, humble attitude
    • Able to work across diverse personalities

Nice-to-Have

  • CPA or CMA
  • Experience with Power BI, Prophix, or AutoDesk
  • Background supporting project-based manufacturing or construction environments
