Job Description
- Lead multiple Class A commercial interiors projects simultaneously from preconstruction through final turnover
- Serve as the primary point of contact for ownership groups, clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, cost controls, and financial forecasting
- Manage procurement strategies, subcontractor contracts, and change order negotiations
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and support staff
- Oversee project risk management and proactively mitigate scheduling, budgetary, and operational challenges
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Drive client satisfaction and cultivate long-term relationships with repeat customers and industry partners
- Collaborate with field leadership to execute projects safely and efficiently while maintaining project milestones
- Contribute to strategic planning, operational improvements, and business growth initiatives
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Project Manager should have:
- 10+ years of experience managing commercial interiors construction projects in New York City
- Extensive experience delivering Class A corporate office interiors, headquarters relocations, financial institution fit-outs, law firm offices, and other premium workplace environments
- Currently or previously employed by a reputable NYC General Contractor with a strong commercial interiors portfolio
- Demonstrated success managing projects ranging from $10M to $100M+ in value
- Strong expertise in project financial management, scheduling, contract administration, and client management
- Proven leadership experience overseeing project teams and mentoring junior staff
- Deep understanding of Manhattan construction logistics, building operations, and occupied renovation environments
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and executive-level client-facing skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred
