As a Construction Sheet Metal Technician, you will be a key member of our technical team, bringing your expertise to the installation, maintenance, and repair and/or replacement of systems. Essential Job FunctionsInstallation and Maintenance:Install, inspect, maintain, and repair systems according to specifications and codes.Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and efficient completion of projects.Reassemble and test equipment following repairs. Technical Expertise:Stay updated on industry advancements, technologies, and best practices.Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing malfunctioning and troubleshooting systems using hand tools and testing equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts, and reassemble repaired systems. Quality Assurance:Ensure that all work meets regulatory standards, safety protocols, and company service system guidelines. Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.Calculate the cost of service for the customer using flat rate price book and handle money collection from customer.Read blueprints to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to complete the job. Documentation:Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, time spent, and any additional relevant information.Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work orders. Provide detailed reports to supervisors and clients as required. Required Skills and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent is requiredMust be enrolled in or completed required trade school as required by state apprentice regulationsA minimum of 2 - 3 years of related work experience including hands on training and work in the trade is preferred but not requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex issues in the field.Familiarity with local and national codes and regulations.
