OVERVIEW

Merrick is seeking a Construction Manager to provide full-time on-site leadership at a clients facility. This role does not work out of a Merrick office. The Construction Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, oversight, and management of all construction remediation, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.

Reporting to the Manager of Construction Services, the Construction Manager ensures that all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project requirements related to safety, quality, schedule, and budget. This position also functions as Merricks on-site representative, maintaining strong client relationships, supporting project execution, and identifying opportunities to expand Merricks services.

Typical salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $102,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

WHAT YOULL DO

Responsible for all on-site management, supervision, and coordination of construction activities. Responsible for establishing and monitoring the job site safety, health, and environmental program. Responsible for controlling the project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all construction resources, including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment. Schedule and coordinate all required permit inspection and testing agency activities. Ensure the quality of field installations.

Conduct on-site schedule coordination meetings weekly or as required to maintain effective communication, coordination, and schedule and cost control. Promote Merrick to the Owners representative and to others within the Owners organization in an effort to acquire more business and provide additional services to the Owner. Traveling is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires at least three (3) years of experience in the construction industry in industrial or manufacturing environments. Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. A working knowledge of OSHA requirements is necessary. A valid drivers license is required.

This position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong organization and planning skills are required. Time management skills are a requirement of this position. This position requires a working knowledge of appropriate codes and standards. This position requires an ability to use computers and software for communication and reporting purposes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Client facilities require site visits to gather project information, which may require work in mechanical spaces, walking for long distances, standing for long periods, and climbing ladders and stairs.
