Schedule: Monday-Friday, daytime hours; occasional overtime as needed

Pay: $30-$40 per hour with room to increase based on performance

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent to lead daily field operations on custom residential construction projects.


This role is responsible for managing jobsite activity, coordinating subcontractors and internal field teams, maintaining schedule progress, enforcing quality standards, and ensuring each project is built according to Williams Contracting standards.


The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with residential construction experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and professionally.


Key Responsibilities


Jobsite Leadership

Schedule & Coordination

Manage daily construction sequencing in alignment with the project schedule.

Coordinate subcontractor arrivals, site access, work readiness, and completion.

Ensure work areas are prepared for upcoming trades.

Identify schedule risks early and communicate them to the project team.

Monitor project progress and help keep jobs moving efficiently.

Coordinate with the office team regarding schedule updates, project needs, and field priorities.


Quality Control

Inspect work regularly for quality, accuracy, and plan compliance.

Maintain Williams Contracting standards for craftsmanship and finish quality.

Identify and correct quality issues before they become larger problems.

Reduce punch list items and rework through consistent field oversight.

Ensure custom details are executed accurately and professionally.


Subcontractor Management

Communicate expectations clearly to subcontractors.

Confirm subcontractors have the information, access, and materials needed to complete their scope.

Verify subcontractor work is complete, clean, and aligned with plans and quality standards.

Address field issues promptly and professionally.

Communicate subcontractor concerns or performance issues to leadership.


Materials & Site Readiness

Confirm required materials, products, fixtures, and selections are onsite before scheduled work begins.

Coordinate with the Product & Costing Manager and project team regarding deliveries and material needs.

Report missing, damaged, delayed, or incorrect materials.

Maintain organized material staging areas.

Protect client property, finished work, and stored materials.

Communication & Documentation

Provide regular field updates to the project team and leadership.

Document jobsite progress, field conditions, and issues as needed.

Communicate clearly with clients when appropriate and keep all communication professional.

Escalate problems early and help propose practical solutions.

Participate in project meetings and field coordination discussions as needed.


Qualifications

Required

Strong residential construction experience.

Previous superintendent, foreman, lead carpenter, or field management experience.

Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, structural drawings, specifications, and details.

Strong understanding of construction sequencing, building systems, and trade coordination.

Ability to manage subcontractors, field crews, schedules, and jobsite priorities.

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Professional, reliable, safety-minded, and client-focused.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Reliable transportation to and from work.

Ability to travel between jobsites as needed.

Ability to provide verifiable work history and references.

Comfortable working in and around clients' homes.


Preferred

Experience with custom homes or high-end residential remodeling.

Hands-on carpentry background.

Experience coordinating multiple trades on active residential jobsites.

Familiarity with jobsite documentation, photo records, schedules, and punch list tracking.
