Job Description

The Construction Superintendent is an ambassador of Villagree Luxury Homes and performs oversight of the construction and successful build of multiple luxury custom homes from dirt to delivery. Works closely with other team-members, such as the Construction Manager, Interior Design team, Accounting, etc. for a collaborative and efficient workflow. Employ highly effective skills in time management, scheduling, quality assurance, problem-solving, and multi-tasking. Perform strict daily oversight and string quality assurance in the field, anticipate and overcome obstacles, and implement jobsite security and safety protocols while maintaining a well organized project flow. As a company ambassador, the individual must be adept with sharp communication skills and accountability while delivering excellent customer service, professionalism, and ability to foster and maintain partnerships among trades, vendors, suppliers, peers, and other internal team members

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage oversight of specific construction site duties, subcontractors, construction schedule, etc.
  • Must utilize project management software to update progress of construction schedules, documentation, etc. to ensure tasks are completed within projected build time
  • Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with the contract documents, change orders, and selection boards
  • Conduct and participate in meetings with trade partners, suppliers, clients, and co-workers
  • Ensure safety codes and protocol are maintained
  • Provide weekly reporting on timelines, progress, and adjustments
  • Review invoices and ensure accuracy of estimates, deliveries, change orders, etc.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in custom residential construction, or similar work experience, AND
  • Construction Management certification or Associate's Degree -OR- equivalent work experience of minimum 10 years in a Residential Superintendent role
  • Must be able to conduct take-offs, interpret construction details and drawings per local codes and regulations, and decipher and understand all construction and engineering documents and plans
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills
  • Able to analyze problems and proactively strategize for solutions
  • Must be highly proficient in time management, organizational skills, and maintain timelines and schedules
  • Must be highly proficient in customer relations, customer service skills, and demonstrate professionalism among all aspects
  • Must be highly proficient in written and verbal communication skills among all delivery channels
  • Must be highly proficient in the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Must be highly self-motivated and self-directed with excellent team player/leadership skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Must be able to build and foster solid relationships with team members, trades, vendors, and clients

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Must have valid and current driver's license and can operate a motor vehicle in the State of Colorado
  • Must be able to drive between construction sites, suppliers/warehouses, vendors, etc.
  • Must be able to lift minimum 30+ pounds at a time
