Construction Superintendent (Commercial)

An established and highly respected commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join its team.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on field leader who knows how to manage subcontractors, maintain schedules, solve problems and deliver a safe, quality jobsite.

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily field operations on commercial construction projects

• Manage subcontractors, vendors and field personnel

• Maintain project schedules and coordinate sequencing

• Conduct daily coordination and progress meetings

• Ensure work is performed safely and according to plans and specifications

• Monitor workmanship and maintain quality standards

• Coordinate inspections and resolve field issues

• Work closely with the Project Manager on schedule and budget objectives

• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs and submittals

• Identify and resolve schedule, quality and coordination issues

• Maintain daily reports and jobsite documentation

• Manage punch list and project closeout activities

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial construction Superintendent experience

• Proven ability to manage projects from mobilization through completion

• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing and scheduling

• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

• Strong subcontractor management skills

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Strong understanding of safety and quality control

• Procore or similar construction software experience is a plus

• OSHA training/certification is a plus
