Construction Superintendent Commercial Projects

Our client, a well-established leader in commercial construction, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee high-impact projects from groundwork to final walkthrough. This is a hands-on field leadership role focused on delivering quality, safety, and schedule adherence on complex builds including office towers, retail centers, healthcare facilities, and institutional developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct all on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and in-house crews to maintain aggressive timelines
  • Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance; conduct regular toolbox talks and site audits
  • Review and interpret architectural/engineering drawings, RFIs, and change orders in real time
  • Manage material procurement, equipment logistics, and waste removal to control costs and avoid delays
  • Implement daily reporting via Procore (or similar) including progress photos, manpower logs, and weather impacts
  • Proactively resolve field conflicts, punch-list items, and owner/architect concerns before they escalate
  • Mentor junior superintendents and lead by example in workmanship and professionalism

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years as a lead superintendent on $15M+ commercial ground-up or major renovation projects
  • Proven track record with tilt-wall, steel-frame, and curtainwall systems
  • Expert-level scheduling skills (Primavera P6 or MS Project) and ability to recover slipped milestones
  • Current OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, and scaffold competency certifications
  • Strong references from GCs, owners, and architects on past performance
  • Local market knowledge (Carolinas preferred) with established subcontractor relationships

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Highly competitive base salary (commensurate with project portfolio)
  • Performance bonuses tied to schedule, safety, and profit margins
  • Company truck/fuel card, per diem on remote projects
  • Full medical, 401(k) with match, PTO, and continued training
