Description
Construction Superintendent Commercial Projects
Our client, a well-established leader in commercial construction, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee high-impact projects from groundwork to final walkthrough. This is a hands-on field leadership role focused on delivering quality, safety, and schedule adherence on complex builds including office towers, retail centers, healthcare facilities, and institutional developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct all on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and in-house crews to maintain aggressive timelines
Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance; conduct regular toolbox talks and site audits
Review and interpret architectural/engineering drawings, RFIs, and change orders in real time
Manage material procurement, equipment logistics, and waste removal to control costs and avoid delays
Implement daily reporting via Procore (or similar) including progress photos, manpower logs, and weather impacts
Proactively resolve field conflicts, punch-list items, and owner/architect concerns before they escalate
Mentor junior superintendents and lead by example in workmanship and professionalism
Required Qualifications:
7+ years as a lead superintendent on $15M+ commercial ground-up or major renovation projects
Proven track record with tilt-wall, steel-frame, and curtainwall systems
Expert-level scheduling skills (Primavera P6 or MS Project) and ability to recover slipped milestones
Current OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, and scaffold competency certifications
Strong references from GCs, owners, and architects on past performance
Local market knowledge (Carolinas preferred) with established subcontractor relationships
