Construction Superintendent - Construction - Base Salary to 110k/year - Tampa, FL

• Our client, a growing commercial construction firm, is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee renovation and ground-up commercial construction projects throughout the Tampa and Central Florida markets. This position is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable building codes and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all on-site construction activities for commercial renovation and ground-up construction projects, including demolition, framing, structural work, MEP coordination, interior finishes, punch list, and project closeout
• Coordinate and manage daily activities of subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules in coordination with the Project Manager
• Conduct daily job site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with plans and specifications
• Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and job site safety procedures
• Coordinate inspections with local municipalities and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with Florida Building Code, permitting requirements, and AHCA regulations, when applicable
• Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule delays
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and project documents to ensure accurate field execution
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, progress reports, and construction records
• Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and material staging
• Assist with punch lists, final inspections, certificate of occupancy activities, and project turnover
• Communicate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the construction process
• Travel throughout Tampa and Central Florida based on project assignments

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, required
• Experience supervising commercial renovation projects from demolition through project completion
• Experience supervising ground-up commercial construction projects
• Experience managing healthcare construction projects
• Experience working in occupied and/or regulated facilities, including healthcare, financial institutions, retail, or similar commercial environments
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, field operations, and job site management
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing daily construction activities
• Knowledge of Florida Building Code, permitting processes, AHCA regulations, and inspection requirements
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, submittals, and project schedules
• Experience maintaining project schedules while ensuring quality workmanship and OSHA safety compliance
• Proficiency with daily reporting, construction documentation, field management software, scheduling software, and project management software
• Ability to travel throughout North and Central Florida as project needs require

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 90k - 100k/year range
