Responsibilities

  • Lead all onsite construction operations from site mobilization through final turnover for large industrial and warehouse projects.
  • Maintain a strong, visible leadership presence on the jobsite and foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors to ensure their work aligns with project plans, specifications, and sequencing requirements.
  • Manage daily site activities including safety oversight, scheduling, logistics, and site coordination.
  • Oversee the quality, productivity, and completion of subcontractor work, ensuring compliance with design and performance standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed daily reports, including photos, and communicate issues promptly to project stakeholders.
  • Support and manage project schedules using tools such as 3-week lookahead planning to keep work on track.
  • Adapt to and manage accelerated schedules, including executing work out of sequence when necessary to maintain milestones and early turnover dates.
  • Serve as the primary onsite contact for project teams, design partners, architects, engineers, and project management.
  • Enforce safety standards consistently and promote a strong safety culture across the jobsite.
  • Maintain jobsite cleanliness, organization, and safe working conditions at all times.
  • Monitor and coordinate heavy civil site work, including underground utilities, foundations, and structural elements.
  • Oversee installation of precast walls, structural systems, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
  • Interpret and apply construction documents, drawings, and specifications to field activities and sequencing.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and company leadership to resolve issues in real time and support successful project delivery.
  • Support early shop floor and facility turnover requirements by aligning field activities with critical path milestones.

  • A minimum of 5+ years as a commercial or industrial superintendent working on ground-up projects for a general contractor.
  • Experience delivering distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, automotive dealerships, or large "big box" retail projects.

  • Proficiency overseeing precast wall systems, foundations, and structural systems on large facilities.
  • Hands-on experience managing mechanical and electrical systems installation on complex industrial projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of the full construction lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout, and comprehensive site supervision.
  • Proven ability to manage project schedules, including accelerated and compressed timelines, and to maintain progress under changing conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage multiple subcontractors and trades on active job sites.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and project sequencing, and the ability to apply them in the field.
  • Experience working on accelerated schedules and supporting early turnover milestones.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and short-interval planning, including 3-week lookahead schedules.
  • Commitment to jobsite safety and experience enforcing safety standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with OSHA 30-level safety practices or equivalent safety training and awareness.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with subcontractors, laborers, architects, engineers, and project management teams.
  • Capability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and resolve issues in real time.

  • Experience working on projects that require early shop floor or partial facility turnover while construction continues.
  • Per diem eligibility for travel assignments when working on projects away from home base.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite role at active construction projects, initially supporting a 450,000 sq. ft. warehouse and light industrial facility.
