Construction Superintendent | Hartford Commercial GC

I'm seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee a ground-up commercial construction project in the Hartford area, managing day-to-day field operations, subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate has experience delivering commercial projects from sitework through closeout while maintaining project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.

Description

• Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities to ensure project milestones are met.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to resolve construction challenges.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project progress and site activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures on-site.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and site operations.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, jobsite safety, quality control, and compliance standards.
• Ability to lead subcontractors, field staff, and project teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with owners, clients, architects, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.
• Proficient in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
