Construction Superintendent

West Sound Workforce is supporting a long-standing Western Washington-based construction company in recruiting a Construction Superintendent for coastal projects in the greater Grays Harbor area. Known for quality workmanship and attention to detail, this company takes on a diverse range of construction projects, from large-scale residential renovations to complex commercial construction.

The Construction Superintendent will provide experienced field leadership across multiple projects, taking ownership of project execution and keeping teams focused on quality, safety, and schedule. This is a working Superintendent role suited to a hands-on, organized leader who is comfortable both directing field operations and stepping in alongside the team when needed. The successful candidate will bring sound judgment, accountability, and strong communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep multiple projects moving forward.

Shift information:

• Full time
• Occasional evenings and weekends required

What you will do:

• Oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, including site access, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and overall project execution
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate upcoming work, maintaining clear priorities and keeping the project schedule current and achievable
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, and site logistics to ensure resources are available and work progresses efficiently
• Lead jobsite safety efforts, including weekly safety meetings, safety reporting, and enforcement of established safety requirements
• Monitor field work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements, providing QA/QC oversight and identifying issues early
• Document and communicate project changes, clarifications, questions, and field conditions through Procore, working closely with the Project Manager, ownership, design team, and construction team

What we are looking for:

• 8–10 years of construction experience, preferably in a field leadership or Superintendent role
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and keep project teams informed
• Strong organizational skills with a dependable, accountable approach to managing schedules, priorities, and deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore, including the ability to use Procore through a smartphone or tablet
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between project sites
• Certifications required within six months of hire: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, Forklift Operator, Fall Protection Competent Person, and CESCL
