Superintendent
We
are
seeking
an
experienced
Commercial
Construction
Superintendent
to
oversee
interior
renovation,
tenant
improvement,
and
commercial
build-out
projects
throughout
the
Washington,
DC
metropolitan
area.
This
is
a
hands-on
field
leadership
position
for
someone
who
is
comfortable
managing
daily
job-site
operations,
coordinating
subcontractors,
communicating
with
clients
and
project
managers,
and
keeping
projects
moving
safely
and
efficiently.
Projects
may
include
corporate
offices,
commercial
interiors,
retail
spaces,
building
renovations,
occupied-space
renovations,
exterior
improvements,
and
other
commercial
construction
projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage
day-to-day
operations
on
commercial
construction
job
sites
- Coordinate
subcontractors,
trades,
vendors,
deliveries,
and
site
activities
- Review
drawings,
specifications,
scopes
of
work,
and
project
schedules
- Maintain
project
schedules
and
communicate
potential
delays
or
conflicts
- Coordinate
closely
with
Project
Managers
regarding
progress,
manpower,
materials,
and
project
needs
- Conduct
daily
site
walks
and
monitor
workmanship
and
quality
- Identify
field
issues
and
work
with
the
project
team
to
develop
solutions
- Coordinate
inspections
and
ensure
work
complies
with
plans,
specifications,
and
applicable
codes
- Maintain
a
clean,
organized,
and
professional
job
site
- Enforce
company
and
project
safety
requirements
- Manage
punch-list
items
and
assist
with
project
closeout
- Communicate
professionally
with
clients,
building
owners,
architects,
subcontractors,
and
other
project
stakeholders
- Coordinate
construction
activities
in
occupied
environments
while
minimizing
disruption
to
building
tenants
and
operations
- Document
project
progress
and
maintain
accurate
daily
field
reports
Qualifications
- Previous
Superintendent,
Assistant
Superintendent,
Foreman,
or
comparable
commercial
construction
leadership
experience
- Experience
with
commercial
interiors,
tenant
improvements,
office
renovations,
or
commercial
build-outs
strongly
preferred
- Ability
to
read
and
interpret
construction
drawings
and
specifications
- Strong
understanding
of
commercial
construction
sequencing
- Experience
coordinating
multiple
subcontractor
trades
- Strong
organizational
and
problem-solving
skills
- Professional
communication
skills
and
ability
to
interact
directly
with
clients
- Ability
to
travel
between
project
sites
throughout
DC,
Maryland,
and
portions
of
Virginia
- Valid
driver's
license
and
reliable
transportation
- OSHA
safety
training
is
preferred
