Job Description

Lead day-to-day field operations for K-12 education and municipal construction projects. Independently manage assigned jobsites from mobilization through final completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead schedules, and sequencing plans. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, deliveries, and daily field activities. Manage ground-up construction, renovations, additions, and occupied-campus work. Coordinate project phasing to minimize disruption to active school environments. Maintain high standards for jobsite safety, quality control, and project documentation. Conduct subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and regular field coordination. Work closely with Project Managers to resolve schedule, constructability, and field challenges. Coordinate inspections, punch-list completion, closeout, and final turnover. Build strong relationships with project teams, trade partners, architects, and clients. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout project execution.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Superintendent - K-12 Projects should have: Proven experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor. Strong K-12 education construction experience required. Experience with municipal or other public-sector construction projects. Proven ability to independently manage commercial jobsites from start to finish. Experience with ground-up construction, additions, renovations, and phased projects. Strong understanding of scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety, and quality control. Experience working around occupied facilities or active campuses is highly preferred. Ability to effectively manage multiple trades and maintain aggressive project schedules. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Consistent employment history and demonstrated career progression preferred. North Texas construction experience is a plus.
