    Project Location: Mesa, Arizona

    Position Type: Full‐time, On‐site

    Industry: High‐Tech Industrial, Semiconductor

The ideal candidate is a field‐driven construction leader who understands that semiconductor and high‐tech industrial projects demand exceptional coordination, precision, cleanliness, and documentation.

You should be comfortable working in active cleanrooms, managing multiple specialty contractors, anticipating field conflicts, and driving the project toward safe, compliant, and timely completion.

Candidates without direct cleanroom or semiconductor experience will not be considered.

    Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead onsite field operations for high‐tech industrial and semiconductor‐related construction activities.

This role is focused on cleanroom equipment relocation/installation, UHP gas cabinet and TGMS infrastructure additions, and specialty process utility modifications within an active manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing tool install, cleanroom construction, high‐purity process systems, and complex MEP/utility coordination. This position requires a hands‐on field leader who understands the precision, safety, sequencing, and documentation requirements associated with semiconductor and controlled‐environment construction.

The Superintendent will oversee daily field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain schedule alignment, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure all work is executed in accordance with contract documents, specifications, and owner requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Field Leadership & Coordination

    • Provide overall onsite leadership and supervision of construction activities.
    • Direct and coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, tool‐install vendors, and field personnel.
    • Manage daily construction operations while maintaining project schedule and milestones.
    • Lead field execution for cleanroom equipment relocation, installation, and re‐qualification.
    • Coordinate construction activities within active cleanrooms, chase spaces, and controlled manufacturing areas.

    Technical & Construction Management

    • Review plans, specifications, BIM models, and tool installation packages to identify conflicts and constructability issues.
    • Coordinate MEP, UHP gas, chemical distribution, exhaust, electrical, and process utility scopes.
    • Oversee installation and integration of:
      • UHP gas cabinets and distribution lines
      • TGMS (Toxic Gas Monitoring System) infrastructure
      • Tool hook‐ups, interlocks, and facility tie‐ins
      • Cleanroom architectural modifications and equipment supports
    • Ensure proper sequencing for shutdowns, tie‐ins, purges, testing, and re‐energization.

    Safety, Quality & Compliance

    • Enforce project safety requirements, semiconductor facility protocols, and company policies.
    • Maintain strict housekeeping, contamination‐control, and cleanroom behavior standards.
    • Verify work is installed per approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and applicable codes.
    • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover documentation.

    Communication & Documentation

    • Conduct daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and subcontractor briefings.
    • Maintain daily reports, manpower tracking, progress documentation, and field records.
    • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Owners, and trade partners to resolve field issues.
    • Identify schedule risks and develop recovery strategies when necessary.
    • Maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

    Required Qualifications

    • Proven superintendent experience on high‐tech industrial or semiconductor facilities.
    • Required: Direct cleanroom construction and/or semiconductor tool‐install experience.
    • Experience with UHP gas systems, TGMS, process utilities, and critical MEP coordination.
    • Strong understanding of cleanroom construction practices, contamination control, and controlled‐environment protocols.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, tool installation packages, specifications, and BIM models.
    • Strong subcontractor and trade coordination skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and priorities in fast‐paced environments.
    • Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, problem‐solving, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work onsite for the duration of assigned projects.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

    Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following environments are strongly encouraged to apply:

    • Semiconductor fabrication facilities
    • High‐tech industrial manufacturing
    • Cleanroom tool installation and relocation
    • UHP gas, chemical, and process utility systems
    • Critical MEP and process infrastructure upgrades
    • Controlled‐environment construction
    • Advanced manufacturing facilities

    Recommended Safety Training

    • OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour Training
