Job Title: Construction Superintendent - Community Solar Projects
Job Description
This role oversees day-to-day construction activities for community solar projects across Illinois, typically ranging from 1 to 2.5 MW in size. The construction superintendent manages on-site operations from the project trailer, coordinates subcontractors, enforces safety and regulatory standards, and ensures that project schedules and productivity targets are met. This position offers hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector with the potential to move into a long-term role on future projects.

Work Environment
The role is based on active solar construction sites across central and northwest Illinois, supported by an on-site company trailer serving as the superintendent's primary workspace. Each site typically hosts multiple electrical and civil subcontractor crews working concurrently. Standard hours follow typical construction schedules, primarily Monday through Friday from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., totaling around 40 hours per week. Overtime must receive prior approval from a supervisor and is not expected to be a regular feature of the role. The dress code is standard construction attire, including jeans and a T-shirt, complemented by appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required on site. The work environment offers exposure to commercial-scale solar projects, providing valuable hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector and the opportunity to move onto new projects as they come online.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
