Construction Superintendent

Our client is a GC looking for a Construction Superintendent to oversee public and residential construction projects throughout the New Haven market. The ideal candidate will have experience managing field operations while maintaining strict compliance with project specifications, schedules, and safety requirements. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders across all phases of construction.

Description

As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for the following:

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities on assigned projects
• Coordinate subcontractor scheduling and site logistics
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and project-specific regulations
• Maintain quality control and project documentation
• Lead safety initiatives and conduct site inspections
• Work closely with project managers and ownership representatives
• Identify schedule risks and implement corrective actions
• Manage project closeout activities and punch list completion

Profile

A successful Construction Superintendent should have:

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience
• Experience with public construction projects preferred
• Understanding of construction codes and regulations
• Ability to manage multiple trades simultaneously
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with project scheduling software
• OSHA certification preferred
