Construction Superintendent

Project Management & Field OperationsManage all daily on-site construction activities from project commencement through closeout.Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.Lead subcontractor meetings and daily site coordination efforts.Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget.Review project plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.Quality ControlEnsure all work meets project specifications and company quality standards.Conduct regular inspections and maintain punch lists throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate and oversee project commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities.Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site at all times.Safety & ComplianceEnforce all OSHA, DOB, and company safety requirements.Conduct site safety meetings and inspections.Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, permit requirements, and building regulations.Maintain required site documentation, logs, and reports.Client & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary on-site representative of the company.Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, consultants, and building management personnel.Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions clearly and professionally.Represent the company with professionalism in high-end residential environments where discretion and customer service are essential.The Successful ApplicantQualifications Required7+ years of construction superintendent experience.Experience managing both commercial interiors and luxury residential renovation projects.Strong knowledge of NYC construction practices, permitting, and building regulations.Experience working in occupied buildings and cooperative/condominium properties.Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and millwork drawings.Strong scheduling, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.OSHA 30 Certification.Valid driver's license.PreferredExperience with projects ranging from $500K to $10M+.Knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.NYC DOB Site Safety certifications.Existing relationships with quality NYC subcontractors and suppliers.Desired TraitsHighly organized and detail-oriented.Strong leadership and team-management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Professional, client-focused demeanor.Ability to anticipate challenges and develop practical solutions.Pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and project execution.What's on OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Performance-based bonus opportunity.Health benefits.Paid time off and holidays.Professional development opportunities.Opportunity to work on distinctive commercial and luxury residential projects throughout New York City.Job SummarySector: ConstructionSub Sector: Site ManagerIndustry: PropertyWhere: New YorkContract Type: PermanentConsultant Name: Deirdre ZirnJob Reference: JN-082026-7077362
