SUPERINTENDENT – COMMERCIAL / INDUSTRIAL PLUMBING
Nationwide Travel Required – Primarily Eastern & Midwest Regions


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial / Industrial Plumbing Superintendent to oversee field operations for plumbing scopes within food and beverage manufacturing, industrial, and commercial construction projects across the United States.

This role will focus heavily on plumbing systems, process piping, sanitary and process sewer infrastructure, underground utilities, trenching, drain systems, and facility upgrades within active operating environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading plumbing installation and renovation projects in live manufacturing or industrial facilities while maintaining safety, sanitation, and operational continuity.

Experience with trenchless rehabilitation methods and CIPP systems is considered a strong plus.

The successful candidate must be comfortable managing work within active production facilities and coordinating closely with plant operations to minimize downtime and disruption.


Key Responsibilities

Lead all on site plumbing and utility related construction activities for renovation, maintenance, and infrastructure improvement projects

Manage plumbing installation work involving sanitary sewer, process piping, underground utilities, drain systems, trenching, and concrete cutting and pour backs

Oversee subcontractors, field personnel, vendors, and trade coordination to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget

Coordinate shutdowns, tie ins, and phased construction activities within active manufacturing environments

Collaborate directly with plant operations teams to minimize production interruptions and maintain operational continuity

Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA, GMP, and site specific safety and sanitation standards

Maintain daily reports, schedules, production tracking, and project documentation

Lead site meetings and communicate project updates, scheduling concerns, and field issues to project leadership and clients

Identify and proactively resolve field conflicts and operational challenges

Support quality control efforts to ensure plumbing installations meet project specifications and operational requirements


Required Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing commercial or industrial plumbing projects

Strong background in plumbing systems within food and beverage manufacturing, industrial facilities, processing plants, or large commercial environments

Experience working within active operating facilities and coordinating phased construction activities

Hands on knowledge of underground utilities, sanitary sewer systems, process piping, trenching, drain systems, concrete cutting, and plumbing infrastructure upgrades

Strong understanding of shutdown coordination, production sensitive work, and live environment construction execution

Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States

Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical, industrial processing, or GMP regulated environments

Knowledge of process wastewater systems and plant infrastructure upgrades

Experience with trenchless rehabilitation methods, pipe lining, and CIPP systems strongly preferred

Background managing multi site programs or national rollout projects

OSHA 30 Certification preferred
