RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT – JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervise and actively participate in residential remodeling and construction projects throughout the DMV area
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, trades, deliveries, and daily project activities
Work directly with homeowners throughout all phases of construction
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans
This is a working hands-on position and not strictly a management role
Perform hands-on construction work including digging ditches when needed, framing, carpentry, cabinet installation, punch-list work, and general job site duties
Maintain job site quality, safety, organization, and project schedules
Troubleshoot construction and field issues as they arise
Assist with all phases of residential construction from demolition through final completion
Requirements
Strong residential construction and remodeling experience
Substantial knowledge of residential construction processes
Ability to work in a hands-on working supervisor role
Must be able to read and understand blueprints
Must have reliable transportation
Must have own tools
Experience coordinating subcontractors and trades
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with homeowners
Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
Projects include residential additions, renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, and custom remodeling work
