Superintendent – Morning Shift
Position Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all morning shift construction activities for commercial remodel and renovation projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications while maintaining a professional and organized job site during active business hours.
Key Responsibilities
Construction oversight for morning‐shift commercial projects
Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to maintain workflow and productivity
Ensure all work aligns with plans, specifications, and project schedules
Maintain strict safety compliance and enforce OSHA regulations
Oversee daytime construction activities to minimize disruption to tenants, staff, or customers
Conduct routine site inspections and uphold quality control standards
Provide daily progress updates, issue tracking, and communication to project management
Ensure proper site security and access control during morning operations
Verify work areas are clean, safe, and ready for continued daily operations
Safety & Compliance
Enforce all OSHA and site‐specific safety requirements
Ensure adherence to property or facility security protocols
Conduct toolbox talks and morning safety briefings
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‐free job site
Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years of construction supervision experience
Experience with commercial remodels or occupied renovations preferred
Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and trade coordination
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple trades simultaneously
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‐solving skills
Requirements
Ability to work morning shifts, with occasional extended hours as needed
Must pass a background check if required by the client or facility
Familiarity with occupied‐facility protocols preferred
Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk job sites for extended periods
Ability to work in various indoor/outdoor conditions
