Construction Superintendent – Commercial Interiors Position
Overview Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day jobsite operations for commercial interior renovation projects
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
- Coordinate site logistics including deliveries, access, shutdowns, and building impairments directly with property management teams
- Schedule and oversee required city inspections
- Ensure quality control and craftsmanship across all trades
- Maintain jobsite safety and cleanliness standards
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Participate in weekly project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and internal project teams
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and schedule updates effectively
- Manage union and non-union subcontractors while maintaining strong jobsite coordination and productivity
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Superintendent managing commercial interior construction projects
- Experience working with union trades and understanding union jobsite operations
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and trades
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience managing projects ranging from tenant fit-outs to large-scale interior renovations
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Experience coordinating within occupied buildings and active environments preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Fieldwire (or similar construction management software such as Procore)
- Construction Supervisor License (CSL) preferred but not required
