Job Description Job Description Construction SupervisorIndustrial Shadeports is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our team as Construction Supervisors. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and leading a team to assemble and install a variety of outdoor shade structures at client sites, including but not limited to fabric canopies, steel frame structures, and tension shade systems. This is a physically demanding role that requires construction knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently outdoors in various weather conditions.Key Responsibilities: Assemble and install shade structures according to blueprints, engineering specs, and installation guidelinesOperate hand tools, power tools, and equipment (e.g., lifts, ladders, scaffolding) safely and effectivelyDig holes, pour concrete, and secure footings as needed for structure installationRead and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical instructionsLoad, transport, and unload materials and equipment to job sitesEnsure all work is completed according to safety standards and local building codesMaintain a clean and organized work siteCommunicate effectively with crew members, office staff, and site contactsTroubleshoot issues during installation and report problems or delays promptlyQualifications: Required:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physically strenuous tasks for extended periodsValid driver's license and reliable transportationWillingness to travel to various job sites, sometimes staying overnightBasic knowledge of construction practices and power toolsAbility to work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, wind)Preferred:Prior experience in construction, outdoor installations, or shade structure assemblyForklift or lift certification (e.g., boom lift, scissor lift)OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationWorking Conditions: Outdoor work environment; exposure to sun, wind, rain, and dustTravel required to job sites, which may be out of town or overnightWork hours may vary depending on the season and project scheduleUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and boots is mandatoryCompensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly wage (based on experience)Overtime opportunitiesHealth benefits (if applicable)Paid training and certification assistanceAdvancement opportunities within the companyCandidates must be eligible to work in the US.
