We take pride in safe efficient and quality work that allows our SCI Team along with our clients to build the future togetherSCI is currently looking for an experienced Industrial Construction Supervisor to lead our crews in the field and manage construction projects ensuring that they are on time and on budget.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and coordinate daily operations on industrial construction jobsitesSupervise craftworkers tradesmen and laborers to maintain productivity and qualityEnsure that work is performed in the scope of the project and start the change order process or get field work orders if it is notTrack tools and equipment monitor use and work with the shop to manage needs.Report manpower for the next week no later than 1200pm noon on WednesdaysPerform quality control for all workPerform cost control to ensure the job is onunder budgetResponsible for housekeeping of projectMeet critical deadlinesResponsible for weekly planning to ensure that materials are ordered that manpower is sufficient and that future milestones will be met.Interpret construction drawings layout and perform work in accordance with plans and specificationsPerform layout with use of Trimble robotic layout equipmentOversee and direct subcontractors dailyweeklyComplete weekly reports timecards and other paperwork in a timely mannerParticipating in bi-monthly Supervisor Meetings and Supervisor TrainingAttend andor lead weekly Progress Meetings with the PM and subcontractors complete with meeting minutes.Safety ResponsibilitiesResponsible for jobsite safety and must have a thorough knowledge of safety hazards and proceduresEnsure that JHAs and daily safety inspections are performedConduct safety Toolbox Talk meetings on job sitesResponsible for crew membersDirect crew members to efficiently accomplish the workEnsure that employees are adhering to company policiesOrienting new employees to the job siteApprove crew mileage requestsApprove crew On the Job Training OJT hoursAddress minor disciplinary issues and contact management for more serious issuesDocument minor disciplinary issues and report to Chief Development Officer and Chief Operations OfficerAssign tasks to lead men or to crew membersMaintain productivity of crewExperience and Certifications5 years of supervisory experience in industrial construction steel concrete or relatedStrong understanding of industrial construction methods equipment terminology and materialsLeadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct large crewsOSHA-30 certification strongly preferredScaffolding Competent PersonFall Protection Competent PersonExcavationTrenching Competent PersonConfined Space Competent PersonPhysical AbilitiesStand and walk for 4-hour periodsWork outside in extreme temperaturesClimb ladders and stairsWork from heights in manlifts from scaffolding and on roofs.
