Description ------------

CME Associates is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Inspector to join our team in Parlin, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in inspecting public projects and will preferably hold NICET I certification. As an Inspector you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of public projects.

Responsibilities ----------------

  • Project Inspection

  • Conduct thorough inspections of public projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulations.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspection findings, including photographs, reports, and other relevant documentation.

  • Prepare inspection reports for clients and regulatory authorities as needed.

  • Quality Control

  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify and address construction and design issues promptly, ensuring the quality and safety of the project.

  • Compliance Monitoring

  • Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure they adhere to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols, taking appropriate actions to address non-compliance.

Communication -------------

  • Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide clear and concise updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.

Qualifications -------------

  • Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in inspecting public infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, and utilities, is required.
  • NICET I
  • NICET National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies Level I certification in a related field is highly preferred.

Knowledge ---------

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards, including relevant codes and regulations.

Communication Skills -------------------

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with project stakeholders and prepare detailed inspection reports.
